Synthetic fiber is an ethical, vegan-friendly, affordable alternative to badger hair. The synthetic silver tip fiber retains hot water which, when combined with shaving cream or soap, can create a creamy lather that emulates the experience of using real badger hair shaving brushes, offering a comparable shave that is equally as pleasing.

This type of fill is becoming increasingly popular as synthetic fibers are extremely resistant to problems associated with lather residue in natural badger hairbrushes. The hairs are very firm in the middle, allowing them to retain their shape and they dry exceptionally fast, making brush maintenance easier than ever.

Ensure the brush is cleaned thoroughly between use to prolong the lifespan of the product. After shaving, rinse the brush in hot water, flick away any excess, and hang the brush on a stand with the hair pointing down. If you do not have a stand, leave the brush pointing up rather than horizontal so that air can get to all the hairs and dry the brush naturally. Avoid storing a wet brush for long periods. If your brush has a build-up of soap, soak it in a solution of borax or borax substitute. When correct care is taken a quality shaving brush should last for years to come and can even become an heirloom to pass down to the next generation.
