I have been using this brand of blades for over ten years now. Coupled with a Parker 96R and Taylor of Bond Street Cream, I get a smooth nick free (usually) shave. Durability is good for my beard I get about weeks worth of shaves from a blade.
If I judged these blades on the first two shaves, it would be 1-star. The second shave cut my face to pieces. I almost threw it out. BUT... I didn't and I'm glad. This blade kept getting better and better with each subsequent shave. I eventually got a total of 8 shaves out of it, the final 6 being very smooth. (I normally try to get 5 shaves per blade). This was only my first blade from this pack. Excited to try more.
I get pretty bad razor burn on my neck, no matter what I do. With the grain, across, against, one pass; you get the point. Threw these in my Muhle R89 and like magic, super close shave and no red on my neck. No stinging from my alum block either. Pair that with exceptional service from New England Shaving and it doesn’t get any better!
I started using a safety razor nearly a year ago. I bought a sample packet with 15 different razor blades, 2 of each. I'm using a fairly mild razor. The Personna Platinum blades were the winner for me. The shave is very smooth and very close, without nicks. It's also quick, because the blades are sharp enough that I don't need to go over and over each area many times (like I did with the milder blades I tried). I have a somewhat light beard, and shave every other day. I'm getting 7 shaves from each blade, which is quite nice. I highly recommend them. I also want to thank New England Shaving Co. for their fast, friendly service. It's great to be able to buy from a family-run business.
These are by far the longest lasting blades I have used since returning to DE shaving after 40+ years. On the slightly negative side; I don't know if it is me, as I have a heavy beard or perhaps my non adjustable razor, but I just can't seem to ge the shave as quite as close as say my Wilkinson blades. Any Suggestions at your end would be appreciated.

These blades give me a smooth and close shave. Not as close as the Kai blades but smoother.
