Captain's Choice - Brass Lather Bowl - Commander

A striking solid brass bowl with a true sense of heritage.

Made from the same weight gauge metal as our Heavyweight, Commander nestles firmly into the palm and carries real substance in hand. Constructed out of 100% solid brass, it pairs a high gloss base with a hammered finish for just the right visual relief, while a distinctive copper thumb rest sets it apart from the rest of the Captain's Choice lineup.

Each bowl is individually crafted by an artisan to Captain's Choice specifications, beginning as a single sheet of brass. After the hammered finish is applied, ridges are impressed into the bottom to help speed up the lathering process, and the sides are shaped into a contoured profile that keeps the lather where it belongs. The copper thumb rest is affixed to the exterior and slightly indented for a secure grip, and the company name is stamped into the base.

Natural variations in the brass and the individual craftsmanship behind each piece mean no two bowls are exactly alike. Dimensions are approximately 4.5" wide × 1.5" deep and will resemble the bowl shown in the photos.

Care Instructions: Hand wash only. Do not place in dishwasher. Rinse and wipe dry after each use.

Finish Care: In time, a natural patina will develop on the brass. To keep the shine, rub the surface with plain white vinegar and a paper towel as needed, or use a metal polish available at most hardware stores.
