The Dovo “Renaissance” Straight Razor features a 6/8″, full hollow ground, stainless steel blade. The scales are made from Spanish Oak Wood, which is water-resistant and durable, and perfectly balanced. Perfect for beginners, while also being developed enough for experts. Factory sharpened but may require additional honing and stropping to reach maximum shave readiness.
DOVO Solingen straight razors are probably some the finest razors for shaving in the world. They have a centuries-old tradition of fine metal work and their processes for making straight razors is impeccable. The machinery they use is no longer made so they have to keep producing these products "the old way." The profile of the blade has to be just right. If you remove too much material, it throws the whole grind off and the razor will never shave correctly. There are few craftsmen qualified to do the finish grinding on these blades and it is difficult for DOVO to keep up with the worldwide demand.
Each piece is made in Solingen, Germany.
Straight razors are sold in hygienically sealed tubes and are not returnable items unless they are defective immediately. Otherwise, they can be returned to the manufacturer in Germany.
At New England Shaving, orders are processed same-day or within 1-2 business days. Weekend or holiday orders are processed the next business day.

We have a 30-day return policy, starting from the day you receive your item.
Products that have been removed from their original packaging or have broken seals are deemed non-returnable. Returns lacking original packaging will not be accepted.
Shaving creams, soaps, lotions, and any liquids or unsealed containers are not returnable as opening the lid could compromise the integrity of the product.
Blade sampler packs, once partially used, are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges.
Shaving brushes, combs, gift sets, kits and other grooming products and shaving accessories are not returnable if used, have broken seals, lacking original packaging.
Due to hygiene and sanitation concerns, used items cannot be returned.
All returns and exchanges require prior authorization. To initiate a return, please contact us at support@newenglandshaving.com. We will verify with you if the item meets our return policy criteria. Upon your confirmation, we will provide a return shipping label. Upon receipt of your return, our team will inspect it. If accepted, a refund will be issued according to our refund policy terms.
Shipping fees both ways are non-refundable in the case of return or exchange except for damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped items.
Refund requests will be denied if the returned product does not meet our return criteria or align with the initial confirmation of its condition.
