The del Don Shaving Cream is a true classic with woody and citrusy aromas and with notes of petit grain, basil, lavender, sage and thyme all mingle with subtle hints of amber, patchouli cassis and guaiac wood. Although classed as a cream, it is more like a half soap, half cream, the traditional Italian croap soap making method.

Donato Ciniello has been working in the world of cosmetics for more than thirty years and created the Extro Shaving Creams with his passion for wet shaving about a decade ago. 100% vegetable based and free from parabens/harsh alcohols, the shaving creams are enriched with Q10, Royal Jelly, Calendula Oil and other natural ingredients all designed to nourish, protect and take care of your skin. Extro soaps are soft, creamy and very easy to whip up a rich, creamy lather.

Each 150ml sized soft soap comes in a large, wide rimmed glass jar with screw top lid. This wide rim allows you to load your brush directly from the jar . One jar should last anywhere between four to five months of daily use.

The Extro Shaving Creams use a natural method and it is quite normal for creams made in such a way to have irregular cavity structures and for their surfaces to not be completely smooth. This does not affect the quality of the cream and should not be considered a flaw.

Disappointing

For all of the craftsman fuss of the label and the site description, the shave cream is rather pedestrian. The scent has a citrus high note and that's about it. I couldn't detect any of the other fragrances promised. In addition, the lather is more soap than a hefty, protective, slick covering. A more accurate description of the fragrance would be "lemon-lime." Why bother ordering that from Italy when you can get a Derby tube for around $6. Shave cream like this should be European exotic—a masterful combination of leathery notes that seem foreign but combine for a trip abroad and a rich, thick experience. Just sayin'.
