Herold Leather Razor Strop 185RI is a traditional hanging strop designed to keep straight razors keen, smooth, and shave ready.

This two-sided strop combines a classic leather surface with a synthetic webbing on the reverse, giving you both pre-sharpening and final stropping in a single tool. The working section provides approximately 12" of usable length with a 1.75" width, while the overall length is about 18", including the brown padded handle and nickel-plated swivel hardware.

The leather side can be dressed with solid or tube strop paste to refine and polish the edge, while the synthetic side is ideal for initial alignment before finishing on leather. Regular stropping helps realign the fine cutting edge that is bent slightly out of true during shaving, extending the time between honings and promoting a smoother, more comfortable shave.

Herold has produced high quality strops in Solingen, Germany since 1919, using selected leathers and traditional vegetable tanning methods tailored for razor maintenance. The 185RI is a dependable choice for both new and experienced straight razor users who want reliable daily edge care from a compact, easy-to-hang strop.
