The Merkur 23 Stainless Steel Safety Razor is a modern stainless steel interpretation of a classic design originally developed in the 1920s. Its long handle and balanced construction offer excellent control, making it especially approachable for first-time safety razor users while remaining dependable for experienced shavers.
The closed comb, straight cut razor head delivers a smooth and comfortable shave and helps guide the blade naturally at the correct angle. The long handle features a diamond-pattern cross knurl and rounded end knob, providing a secure grip even with wet or soapy hands.
Built for durability, the handle is crafted from 1.4301 stainless steel, while the razor head cover and comb are made from high-grade 316L / 1.4404 stainless steel with a satin finish. This stainless steel construction makes the Merkur 23 well suited for long-term use, including humid or demanding environments.
The generous blade gap allows lather and hair to rinse away easily during shaving, helping keep the blade clean and hygienic. The mild closed comb design makes this razor a versatile all-rounder for classic wet shaving, suitable for both beard and body use.
