What setting should I start on if I'm new to the Parker Variant?
Start at setting "1," the mildest setting. As you get comfortable with the razor, you can gradually increase the setting to suit your preference.
How do I change the blade exposure for a more aggressive or comfortable shave?
Loosen the knob on the bottom of the razor and turn it to your desired setting. "1" is the mildest and "5" is the most aggressive; choose based on your skin type, beard thickness, and experience level.
How do I know if my blade is loaded correctly after changing it?
After reinserting the cover plate, tighten the knob until the cover plate is in the lowest position, lined up at "1." If the notch on the cover plate is not aligned with the notch on the base plate, the settings will not calibrate correctly and your shave will be affected.
