How does the locking system work?
The Merkur 33C employs a three-piece safety razor design with a short screw locking system. This configuration allows for easy disassembly and cleaning, as well as simple blade replacement. The three-piece design consists of the handle, the base plate, and the top cap, which are securely fastened together to hold the blade in place.
What is the difference between the Merkur 34C and 33C?
The Merkur 33C is a three-piece razor which means the top of the head, base plate and handle can all come apart separately. The Merkur 34C on the other hand is two piece as the base plate is fixed to the top of the handle.
Both razors are made from the same material and have similar length. Whereas there are slight differences at the base of the razor and 34C provides slightly better grip.
