Edwin Jagger - Chatsworth Best Badger Shaving Brush
The Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Best Badger Shaving Brush is handmade in Sheffield, England, and takes its name from Chatsworth House, the historic estate just outside the city. The handle draws on 1930s design, with stepped curves inspired by Georgian architecture and a flared base that stands steady on the counter. It is shaped to sit neatly in the hand and keeps a firm grip even when wet and soapy. Choose from Imitation Ebony, Imitation Ivory or Imitation Light Horn.
Best Badger is one of the most popular grades of badger hair and a reliable, good value choice. It is shorter and a little firmer than the finer grades, so the knot gives a gentle exfoliating feel and lifts coarse whiskers well. It holds plenty of water and works up a rich lather from soap or cream with very little effort. The 21 mm knot is a medium size that suits most shavers, balancing lather capacity with good control.
The Chatsworth brush is also made with Silver Tip Badger or vegan Synthetic Silver Tip fill, and with a chrome plated handle.
After each shave, rinse the brush in warm water, shake out the excess and let it dry bristles down. It fits the Edwin Jagger small drip stand in Black or Imitation Ivory, sold separately. Not recommended for use with shaving oil.
